Training that works on the floor, not just on paper

On-site at your care home

We come to you. No travel for your staff, no agency cover for a full day. Half-day sessions (approx. 3–4 hrs) mean you only need to release staff for one shift window — not the whole day.

Interactive, not passive

No death-by-PowerPoint. Every session uses group discussion, practical exercises, and scenario-based learning. Your staff practise skills, not just hear about them.

We handle the evidence

After the session, we provide competency records, follow-up assessments, observation prompts, and a full engagement report — all mapped to CQC Quality Statements. You don't create it. We do.

Why managers switch to Life Care

"CQC's State of Care reports have raised concerns that online training is not always suitable for care staff, and that providers must demonstrate competence — not just course completion."

— Based on CQC State of Care findings, 2021/22 onwards

CQC has been clear: attendance certificates and eLearning completions alone are not enough. Under the Single Assessment Framework, inspectors look for evidence that staff can demonstrate competence in practice — not just that they've completed a module.

That's the gap Life Care fills.

Nathan Kwabi — MPharm, Life Care Training founder and trainer

YOUR TRAINER

Meet your trainer

Nathan Kwabi holds a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) from the University of Reading — the same clinical foundation that underpins NHS medication safety. That background means Life Care sessions go deeper than tick-box content: the pharmacology is accurate, the clinical context is real, and the CQC Quality Statement mapping is precise.

Before healthcare, Nathan trained as a professional actor. That combination — clinical depth with performance energy — is why delegates consistently rate sessions 4.89/5 and describe them as the best training they've attended. Your staff won't be watching slides. They'll be practising skills, discussing scenarios, and leaving the room ready to apply what they've learned.

Questions managers ask before booking

No. Every session is interactive — group discussion, practical exercises, and scenario-based learning. Your staff practise skills, they don’t just listen to a lecture. And every booking includes a 10-week follow-up with spaced assessments and a full CQC evidence report. If you want a certificate and nothing else, we’re not the right fit.
CQC’s State of Care reports have consistently flagged concerns about over-reliance on eLearning. Under the Single Assessment Framework, inspectors look for evidence of competence — not just completion. Face-to-face training with practical demonstration and follow-up assessment gives you that evidence. eLearning alone doesn’t.
That’s exactly why the flat session fee matters. You pay per session, not per head. Bring up to 15 delegates — if three new starters join next month, train them all in one session at the same price. Compare that with per-delegate eLearning costs multiplied by turnover, and face-to-face training is often more cost-effective.
4.89/5 average rating across 5,000+ delegate feedback entries. The most common word in the feedback? “Engaging.” Nathan’s background in professional performance means every session is designed to hold attention. If your staff have sat through dull training before, this is different.
